This means that, as part of the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, we have a dedicated clinician who has a specialist knowledge of military related health conditions and veteran specific health services.

Veterans Gateway 
The Veterans Gateway can be used as a first point of contact for whatever support is needed.

Locally we have access to the Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) service. The VOS Drop-In is open on the first Wednesday of every month from 2pm to 6pm in the Royal Maritime Club, Portsmouth.

The Transition, intervention and liaison mental health service 
The Transition, intervention and liaison mental health service is a NHS veterans’ mental health service available across England. This service provides a range of treatment and support for veterans. This includes recognising the early signs of mental health problems and providing access to early treatment and support, as well as therapeutic treatment for complex mental health difficulties and psychological trauma. Patients are also provided with help, where appropriate, with employment, reduction in alcohol consumption, housing and social support.

King Edward VII’s Hospital (London) run a veterans’ pain clinic as part of the Centre for Veterans’ Health. The Veterans’ Pain Clinic is free of charge to all veterans.
